Now let's talk about when I was 11 and I got kidnapped kidnapped by the neighbor who is subletting from Jeff Daigle only for a short while they the man who identified himself as Kimball told me that I could call him the gentle giant he told me that he was going out to be going out of town or leaving town is how he put it and he said that I could come along if I wanted this was about a week before he left well when the day came around I wrote a goodbye letter to my mom in my journal and I left it in the man's bedroom we proceeded to meet up with his what he referred to as his partner and we drove somewhere at least 30 minutes away from my home the Man's partner went to take care of some business and we proceeded upstairs in a brick multi-story walk-up to the second level which was over a lazy boy recliner furniture store you had to walk through the store floor the floor of the store to get to the stairs which are in the back there was two beds in the room TV a chair very sparsely furnished the man asked me what I was going to do now and I didn't know I just shrugged my shoulders and he yelled at me and said that he wasn't going to take care of me and that he already had a partner and he wasn't they weren't interested in supporting me hey then exposed himself to me and told me that I should show him what I could do I of course was already crying at this point and that just made me cry harder when the Man's partner returned they loaded me back into the car and on the way to a busy crowded area he asked me if I knew what a policeman look like I told him I'm 11 of course I know what a policeman looks like and he said well never mind they'll take one look at you and someone will help you well it was Winnie Jenkins daughter that found me she was a national Guardsman or Army reservist I believe a lance corporal if I'm not mistaken and an off-duty cop at the time she returned me to the Vernon Police Department there was the whole neighborhood had been looking for me when Sheriff Rudolph I mean police chief Rudolph return me to my mother after we embraced and had her crying episode he brought me back up to the road between Park West and Terrace Drive away from my mother and told me that because I went of my own volition is how he put it that there weren't going to be any charges pressed and there wasn't going to be a report filed he then proceeded to ask me if anything physical had happened or if anything sexual had happened but the way he put it was nothing physical happened or sexual right so in my mind he had already made up his mind what had and had not happened so I just agreed with him pulling me aside to talk to me away from my mother as a minor victim was a blatant violation of my civil liberty not to mention the disparaging way that he spoke to the victim of a very serious crime he should have lost his job
